Meatwagon fans can relax the burgers are the same. Great smokey flavours, good quality beef cooked medium and served in a glossy white bun. The beef is loosely packed so it falls apart easily like a great burger should.
The accompaniments are your typical American grease-fest, the onion rings come in a really thick batter served with a blue cheese sauce. The wings I have always really enjoy, they are less your typical american hot wing and actually remind me more of a Filipino style chicken wing, a little vinegary, I love them. I’m also a fan of the deep-fried pickle, this was the first time I’ve had them, they are the perfect mix of sour and crunch.
There is nothing unique here and nothing that special but this place does the burger proud. The staff in general are great, the front door man in particular is fantastic, friendly and accommodating and he manages the huge line like a pro. We did struggle with table service a little, having to flag down a waitress and scream over loud music. This isn’t the kind of place you spend a night in, which I’m sure suits the owner as there is an endless supply of new diners to fill the tables.
