This place is bland looking, it looks very Japanese in a Muji/Canteen kind of way.
We started with the Assorted Sashimi (Moriawase), the tuna and salmon and one of the white fish were delicious, remarkably fresh, high quality fish. The other white fish was incredibly chewy and I don’t enjoy mackerel so these missed the mark for us.
The vegetable and prawn tempura was solid, a light batter, great flavour.
The best dish was the Grilled Black Cod preserved in seasoned Miso, the fish was cooked well with a delicate flaky texture. The preserved miso gave it a wonderful sweet and smoky flavour.
Mostly fantastic sashimi, great tempura and an amazing Black Cod dish.
