Kopapa – 32-34 Monmouth Street, London WC2H 9HA

From londondesignguide.com

I love eggplant, the Baba Ghannouj and Char Grilled Eggplant dishes at Kopapa are good. I particularly liked the char grilled dish which came with a Tahini and Black Bean Miso dressing, this was not as overpowering or as sweet as Tsuru’s sweet glazed eggplant dish.

I liked the Lamb Cutlet, New Zealand lamb is always delicious and this was cooked well. The Tuna was also good but a little bland when compared to the other dishes.

The only really dissapointing dish was the cassava chips which were too thick and had an awful chalky texture.

Kopapa is an ugly restaurant, there is a corrugated iron effect on the walls which gave the feeling of being inside a garden shed, it’s also too bright.

The food was good but mostly due to it’s decor and because nothing really stood out this place kind of disappoints.

Un Cojón!
